Human Resources Policy

The refinery places a lot of emphasis on its personnel policy, which aims to manage people well, develop them, and build a cohesive, professional workforce based on shared corporate values. Of the more than 2400 employees of ZHAKSYMAI OIL, LLP, a third are young individuals under the age of 35. The plant employs two people for every higher professional education level. The workers in refineries are 40 years old on average. The ability of ZHAKSYMAI OIL, LLP personnel to adapt quickly to shifting market conditions and meet the organization’s predetermined strategic goals and objectives is a key factor in the success of the company’s operations. Personnel selection is therefore one.

Rules for competitive personnel selection were introduced by ZHAKSYMAI OIL, LLP in order to achieve an ideal balance between maintaining and renewing the quantity and caliber of personnel in accordance with the refinery’s needs. These rules offer a transparent system for the recruitment, selection, and adaptation of personnel. The required selection processes for admission are testing, a structural unit interview, and a panel interview at the refinery competition committee. The “Electronic Recruiting” information system, which is used in the automated recruiting process, guarantees transparency in the flow of resumes from candidates at every step of the selection process.

An adaptation program has been created to help hired workers adjust. It makes it easier for them to join a labor collective, adopt new relationship norms, and become proficient in the system of professional knowledge and abilities. Managers, experts, and senior employees have been placed in a personnel reserve, and the process for their internship, training, and certification has been decided. The personnel reserve is updated on a regular basis.

The organization offers employees advanced training, retraining, and training as part of its staff development program. Appropriate conditions have been established for the implementation of the personnel development program: theoretical training classrooms are available in all plant workshops and complexes; the training center actively participates in the training process; it is furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, cutting-edge teaching aids, multimedia training complexes for technological processes, and computer training complexes.

ZHAKSYMAI OIL, LLP is involved in social partnership projects and has successfully implemented a dual education program where students receive 60% of their theoretical and practical lessons in production and 40% in college. This program was developed in collaboration with the Pavlodar Chemical and Mechanical College. A training ground and a training laboratory were established at the enterprise, curricula were revised, the number of hours of theoretical and practical training was altered, significant repairs were made to the college’s training workshops, equipment, overalls, and personal protective equipment were purchased, and a viable dual education system was constructed. Every student is assigned to a mentor with experience.

The corporation maintains a Youth Affairs Council. Young experts actively take part in professional, linguistic, intellectual, and social events within the plant, as well as professional, athletic, and patronage activities related to the Peschanskaya boarding school. The top universities in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan have developed close relationships. The factory provides practical training to roughly 200 students from different educational institutions each year who are specializing in “Technology of oil and gas processing,” “Chemical technology of organic substances,” and “Technological machines and equipment.” The plant’s principal experts take part in state commissions that oversee graduates from the top schools and institutions in the area as they defend their graduation projects.
